How do I take out Laser Towers?

There are several ways to tackle Laser Towers

1. Lock onto a Laser Tower and fire missiles at it - effective, low risk, expensive as you will need either lots of low cost missiles or fewer expensive missiles

2. Approach Laser Tower from behind and blast with heavy weapons whilst it is turning - effecive, high risk especially if more than one lasertower is in the vicinity, no cost option

3. Get wingmen to attack them.
