I have a fast PC so why is my mouse laggy in the game?

The problem is that your PC is actually too fast! The framerate is so high that the mouse movements between frames aren't even registering in the game. Luckily the solution is simple. Go into your graphics driver settings and enable VSync. That will limit the framerate sufficiently to make the mouse behave itself.

Alternatively you can solve the problem by updating your game to version 2.5 using the appropriate patch. With version 2.5 the mouse movement should work correctly with or without VSync enabled.
