You can reverse-engineer a ship to obtain its blueprints in order to produce more of the same kind. The HQ's engineers and robots are highly skilled and can reverse-engineer any ship given to them. Be aware that the reverse-engineering process completely destroys the ship being worked on and at the end of the process the ship type is added to the list of available blueprints ready for production.
