Once again this depends on the ship you are using and also your selected target. The golden rule is to never fly in a straight line, particularly if you are attacking multiple targets. If you are in an M5 the most important thing is to stay alive. Get behind your target and try and stay there. If it has a rear turret then try and stay at the side. Stay close enough to inflict damage but far enough away to react to and evade incoming fire. Point blank works both ways!
